Marketeer | Tradition and Portugality inspire Continente’s Christmas campaign

The new Continente campaign is a message of hope for the Portuguese. The supermarket chain of Sonae shows that “There Will Always Be Christmas” and takes the opportunity to underline the importance of maintaining the roots and traditions of the festive season, even in times of pandemic.

Portugal and family unity are the pillars of the new advertising work, with dissemination on television, radio, outdoors, press and digital platforms. To highlight the importance of the more traditional side, Continente counts on the help of Cantares de Manhouce, who provide the soundtrack.

«Although we are going through a difficult context, we want above all to send a message of hope and give encouragement to the Portuguese. This campaign aims to communicate that the true Christmas spirit is always within each one of us and that is why there will always be Christmas », explains Tiago Simões, Marketing Director at Sonae MC.

The campaign continues what Continente has already been communicating throughout the year, that is, hope, recognition and encouragement to all Portuguese families.

The creativity of the campaign is signed by the Fuel agency and production by Ministério Dos Filmes.
