The release film for the new season’s jerseys culminates with their exhibition alongside other garments that tell the history and experiences of the Portuguese people.
Adidas and Sport Lisboa e Benfica present the “trilogy” of shirts from the 2022/23 season through a film that shows the connection between the Club and the city of Lisbon. After the silhouette of the 25 de Abril Bridge on the main jersey, the new jerseys launched feature illustrative elements of the city: the typical electric is the motto of the alternative jersey and is present on the back. The third jersey has a graphic that reminds us of the Portuguese pavement.
All these elements are present in a film that shows the Club’s relationship with the daily life of the city and its citizens. On a global, eclectic and multicultural scale, Lisbon is portrayed in its essence as typical neighbourhoods, Ribeira das Naus and more urban environments.
From fado to rap, the film runs through different eras to the present, culminating with the exhibition of the three shirts at the Museu do Traje, a space that gives a noble character to the Sacred Mantle.
The campaign was created by The Office and the film was directed by José Pedro Sousa from Ministério dos Filmes.
The new jersey is on sale at adidas and SL Benfica online and official stores, as well as at the main sports stores in the country with a recommended RRP of €90.
